Software Engineer

Haulistic is seeking a Software Engineer who aligns with our core values and enjoys working in a collaborative work environment with a team of like-minded IT experts. This individual will have a strong working knowledge in C# (.Net Framework and Core), SQL, and React. The ideal candidate will take ownership in designing and executing technical solutions to enhance Haulistic s TMS platform.

In partnership with the IT team, this individual will provide systematic solutions and play an instrumental role in enhancing the company s proprietary Transportation Management Systems. If you are a forward thinker, have a knack for identifying issues before they occur, and have the ability to develop options to implement solutions, this is the role for you.

This position is 100% remote in the Chicagoland, IL area.

Background & Education

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems
• 3+ years of experience in software development

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in code reviews and agile team ceremonies to help plan and execute work.
• Help identify and remove technical obstacles and assist in completing the team s commitments on a sprint and quarterly basis.
• Considers all aspects of design and development, including but not limited to, usability, simplicity, reliability, uptime, performance, scalability, maintainability, and testing.
• Good technical communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to implement new features without fully detailed technical specifications.
• Comfortable with developing new features from scratch.
• Self-directed team member, highly collaborative with team and comfortable working with product management, stakeholders and other end users.
• Ability to develop high quality, testable and maintainable code with unit tests.
