Job Details

An excellent Help desk technician must have good technical knowledge, must be able to communicate effectively to understand client issues, must possess excellent problem-solving skills and must be able to effectively describe the uncovered solution. They must also be client-oriented and patient to deal with difficult clients. This person must be highly focused, so that they do not stray from the efficient and effective resolution of the client s issue(s).

The goal is to create noticeable value for TST clients that will help preserve the company s reputation and business.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by clients
  • Walk the client through the problem-solving process
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
  • Follow-up and update client status and information
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by clients to the appropriate internal team member(s)
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
  • Installs and supports products, processes and hardware related to execution of supported clients IT systems and services
  • Promptly and properly document activities and communications associated with clients
  • Must work to complete system checks for TST clients
  • Must complete projects as assigned by Management.

Skills & Characteristics:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of PC / LAN hardware troubleshooting and basic knowledge of workstation software
  • Working knowledge of Windows networking and operating systems
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Client-oriented and cool-tempered
