Job Description:

Title: Network Engineer III

Location: Austin TX 78730 (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
Duties:
  • Participates in design, implementation & maintenance of internal/external networks.
  • Provide engineering services, and operational support as part of designing, implementing, migration and daily operational tasks
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in Cisco Data Center, Routing and Switching Technologies
  • Demonstrate knowledge in data centers design and implementation based on Cisco SD-WAN technology, VRF routing, ACI Leaf & Spine switch fabric
  • Showcase knowledge in multi-site ACI Data Center, data center Interconnectivity, Multi-pod and Multi-site design methodology and implementation
  • Show knowledge of ACI IP fabric endpoint classification, categorization, naming and associated policies constructs for various scenarios
  • Design, implement APIC, MSO and automating operations and management
  • Implement Rest API, Ansible, Python, Curl and other relevant ACI automation tools
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus 9k, 7K, 5K in NX-OS and ACI deployments
  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results
  • Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirements specifications
  • Provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist of most phases of systems analysis, while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skills
  • Perform tasks with no or minor supervision
Skills:
  • 8 or more years of current Network Engineering experience required
  • Strong knowledge of Routing Protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSFP, Multicast)
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Switching Technology
  • Strong knowledge of deployment of Cisco ACI technology
  • Experience with day to day operations of Cisco ACI Fabric
  • Experience with field deployment and configuration of network devices, must be hands-on
  • Experience with zero touch deployment, automation, and monitoring of network devices is a plus
  • Experience with Cisco Wireless Technology (deployment and support)
  • Experience with Cisco SD-WAN technology and VRF routing (deployment and support)
  • Experience with F5 LTM/GTM management
  • Experience with Firewall Technologies (Cisco ASA or Palo Alto)
  • Experience performing network traffic and protocol analysis using standard industry tools (Wireshark, tcpdump)
  • Experience on working on networking tools (Solarwinds, Cisco Prime)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
Education:
  • BS or BA degree, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education, training or work experience required
