POSITION SUMMARY -

This position requires exceptional leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, and a proven track record implementing SaaS solutions and guiding organizational process changes aligned with industry best practices. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with district business leads, the vendor's implementation team, and the district's IT Project Manager. The role is responsible for monitoring overall project health, quality assurance, schedule and risk management, stakeholder alignment, and issue tracking.

The Project Manager will support and/or oversee the development, maintenance, and execution of the following critical project components:

  • Project Charter
  • Project Schedule
  • RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) Log
  • Stakeholder Register
  • Business process mapping and re-engineering
  • System configuration
  • Data conversion
  • Interfaces and integrations
  • Change control plan
  • Change management plan
  • Testing
  • Training
  • Cutover plan, go-live, and post go-live support

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -

The District Project Manager will oversee progress across all functional areas, ensuring alignment between vendor teams and district stakeholders. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and facilitating project management meetings
  • Coordinating communication among business leads and vendor resources
  • Managing execution of the project plan and providing status updates to the Director of Field Services and ERP Program Manager
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for the implementation team
  • Maintaining the project schedule
  • Identifying and tracking issues and risks, coordinating responses, and escalating when necessary
  • Escalating scope, resource, and budget needs to the Director of Field Services
  • Assisting with software vendor contract administration and compliance monitoring
  • Recommending approval of vendor deliverables and milestones

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE -

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
  • 10+ years of project management experience, including leadership of complex technology initiatives
  • Public sector or K 12 experience preferred
  • Certifications not required but preferred: PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, CSM or PSM, Agile, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma
