About the Role:
  • Manage planning, implementation, and close-out of cybersecurity projects to improve local government cybersecurity practices.
  • Oversee a series of projects focused on managing and reducing systemic cyber risk for local government entities.
  • Ensure project activities are aligned with the objectives of the State and Locality Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLGCP).
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage medium complexity cybersecurity projects throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery is on time and within budget.
  • Handle day-to-day project operations, including task assignments, tracking progress, managing budgets, and resolving issues.
  • Monitor project progress, anticipate potential risks or delays, and help implement mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders across state and local government, and third-party suppliers to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Develop, organize, and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including materials required for federal grant compliance.
  • Perform other SLGCP-related duties as assigned.
 
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Strong organizational skills, including keen attention to detail and multitasking ability (5 years).
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (5 years).
  • Active PMP certification from PMI is required.
  • Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Experience leading cybersecurity projects (10 years preferred).
  • Familiarity with state and/or federal government IT procurement requirements, laws, and processes.
  • Experience managing grant-funded projects (federal, state, or not-for-profit; 3 years preferred).
  • Proven project management experience (5 years preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (5 years preferred).
  • Experience using PlanView AgilePlace (nice to have).
