Position Overview

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking a Product Development Coordinator to lead and coordinate complex IT product development initiatives for the ServiceNow platform.

This role will be responsible for managing delivery schedules, technical integrations, and product performance to ensure alignment with the Department s business goals and technology standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong experience in software lifecycle management, including development planning, feature delivery, and release cycles.

The Product Development Coordinator will act as a liaison between business owners and technical teams, balancing priorities with technical constraints and ensuring quality product delivery.

 

Education

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Communication, or related field;

  • OR equivalent job-related experience on a year-by-year basis.

Scope of Services

  • Oversee the development and delivery of IT products and solutions.

  • Manage product roadmaps, release schedules, and delivery milestones.

  • Coordinate stakeholder alignment and ensure smooth transition of new capabilities into operations.

  • Support change management, communications, and training related to new product features.

  • Facilitate collaboration between enterprise architecture, development teams, and business stakeholders.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Oversee end-to-end delivery of ServiceNow-based solutions and enhancements.

  2. Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders and technical teams.

  3. Develop and maintain product roadmaps, release cycles, and milestones.

  4. Track development status, readiness for release, and manage risks.

  5. Translate business requirements into actionable delivery plans.

  6. Address integration questions, custom development issues, and post-deployment support.

  7. Align product timelines with available resources, funding, and procurement cycles.

  8. Support prototyping, testing, and technical evaluations prior to release.

  9. Coordinate change management, customer communications, and training efforts.

  10. Ensure smooth transition of new features from development to operations.

Required Experience

  • 7+ years of IT product development, engineering, or project delivery (software lifecycle management).

  • 5+ years leading cross-functional teams through complex solution delivery.

  • Proven experience in product development timelines, release planning, and stakeholder management.

  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform development and integration.

  • Familiarity with Agile/iterative delivery methods and tools (backlog grooming, sprint planning).

  • Experience with government IT project governance and procurement (Florida 60GG-1 through 5, F.A.C.) preferred.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with SharePoint 365, Microsoft Project, and collaboration/product planning tools highly desired.

    • ServiceNow implementation, configuration, and maintenance best practices.

    Business & Technical Capabilities:

    • System development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

    • Ability to align business needs with product-based solutions.

    • Strong written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

    • Compliance, accessibility, and enterprise standards (ADA, security, Florida IT rules).

    • Initiative, decision-making, and flexibility in fast-paced environments.
