Job Details

Clean Harbors is seeking a Remediation Branch Manager. The Remediation Branch Manager is primarily responsible for executing large technical remediation, environmental remediation and disposal projects. Join a team with a focus on safely executing large technical remediation, environmental construction, and transportation/disposal projects across the country/internationally.

Pay: $105-120K+ Annual Bonus

Location: Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Indianapolis

Work with a customer base across several business lines, including regulatory, government and military. Collaborate with other industry professionals across our Sales, Landfill, Incineration, Transportation, TSDF, and local office network leveraging the company's turn-key approach to projects and customer service. Contribute to, foster, and guide the foundation/direction of our health and safety program. Lead a team comprised of project managers, supervisors, equipment operators, and other professionals. Travel, as needed, to new locations to meet customers and field personnel/see projects in action. Work with the support from administrators, senior managers, and other support personnel/teams. RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate with customers and team members;
  • Successful financial management of projects exceeding $3M in value and an organizational profit/loss statement exceeding $15M annually, including budgeting and change management;
  • Experienced team leader who develops high performers and fosters engagement, loyalty, and a winning culture to those who report directly/indirectly to achieve the safe execution of tasks/goals;
  • Ability to foster a winning culture; translate strategies into actionable plans; ensure team is loyal, engaged resilient, embraces changes and committed to achieving results;
  • Requires working knowledge of MS Office suite of applications and ability to use or become proficient with other enterprise software applications. Extensive knowledge of logistics is required;
  • Other duties as required.




QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related science preferred or 10+ years of experience in the remediation industry;
  • Successful financial management of projects exceeding $3M in value and an organizational profit/loss statement exceeding $15M annually, including budgeting and change management;
  • Experienced team leader who develops high performers and fosters engagement, loyalty and a winning culture;
  • Strong environmental remediation background and experience;
  • Computer literate and fully proficient in Windows-based business software including Word and Excel;
  • Excellent presentation skills;
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Strong customer management skills;
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently;
  • Excellent interpersonal silks;
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations governing remedial sites;
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable MVR based on company guidelines;
  • Ability to travel.

Physical Requirements

  • This position is physically demanding, and candidates must be able to navigate varying site conditions where steep slopes and rugged terrain may be present and walk several miles per day. Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted and wear personal protective equipment that may restrict movement, when required.
  • Requires walking and standing for extended periods of time, sitting in equipment that may vibrate or jostle, climbing and working at heights, pulling/pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, crawling, stooping, crouching, and balance. Requires speaking, listening, understanding, and writing English; color determination, depth perception, clarity of vision, and 20/20 eyesight (corrected or uncorrected).
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment, and a clean personal appearance. Facial hair must always comply with the company's respiratory protection facial hair policy.
