Position: Mainframe Monitoring Specialist

Location: 100% Remote

100% remote C2H role. Must be in a CF approved state. DMV & WV only.

Hiring Manager Notes:

  • 100% remote C2H role. Must be in a CF approved state. DMV & WV only.
  • Night shift role: Between 6pm and 6am.. Small team that rotates on 10-hour shifts working 4 days a week.. Not an on-call role. Full time all hands on deck monitoring role.
  • The plan is for them to be on a set schedule but still will need to have flexibility since it is a small team and folks take time or vacation/sick leave, etc...
  • Looking for high level skills in Mainframe, specifically mainframe systems monitoring exp and Dev exp with Java, JavaScript, etc (this exp is highly preferred, not required).
  • Needs ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and engage the right people to fix the issue. JD is spot on.
  • Tech stack: z/OS, DB2, CICs, COBOL, JCL, IBM Mainframe, Control-M and Datadog or BigPanda for monitoring (preferred but would consider other monitoring tool exp).
  • Example: Throughout evening monitoring alerts like a channel being down (There is a runbook though) happen. They should be to do initial triage and be able to share details with the right groups.
