Job Description:

The DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-native applications and DevOps pipelines using AWS and EKS.
The role involves collaborating with architects, lead engineers, and team members to ensure best practices in continuous integration, deployment, and security while automating processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

Responsibilities:

Edit and create Helm Charts and Jenkins files with Docker images.
Collaborate with architects, principal and lead engineers, and team members on design and implementation tasks.
Plan and build roadmaps for EKS and AWS DevOps implementation.
Build and deploy applications following AWS and EKS best practices.
Conduct code reviews, unit and integration testing.
Document system design and unit testing information.
Automate manual steps to improve efficiency and reduce team interdependencies.
Administer AWS console operations and manage Cloudbees agents on EC2 instances.
Participate in on-call rotation as needed.

Required Skills:

Hands-on experience with Helm Charts and Jenkins files using Docker images.
Hands-on experience with AWS and EKS.
Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting.
Experience with Cloudbees, BitBucket, Sonar, Artifactory, and cloud-native development practices.
Strong knowledge of CI, testing, security, and CD concepts.
Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.
Linux and Windows administration skills.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Self-starter with ability to quickly learn and adapt.

Day-to-Day Activities:

Leverage DevOps Scoring Framework to improve DevOps and Product Maturity Index metrics.
Build and implement applications using EKS and cloud-native concepts in production.
Retrospect current implementations and document lessons learned.
Perform AWS and EKS operations and manage cloud-native tools.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in cloud-native DevOps and AWS/EKS environments.
