As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology organization, you will be part of a dynamic and innovative team working on exciting projects with cutting-edge technology. Job responsibilities
  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Participating in agile development projects with attention to detail, organization, and strong sense of urgency.
  • Creating Automated Unit Tests using Flexible/Open-Source Frameworks using a Test Driven Development / Behavior Driven Development approach.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations, Drive and contribute to continuous improvement of the team.
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Research and evaluate solutions and make recommendations to solve business and technology problems
  • Understands service level indicators and utilizes service level objectives to proactively resolve issues before they impact customers
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
  • Hands on development experience about building high quality applications with excellent software design & produce scalable and resilient technical designs.
  • Development experience using Java, Spring, SQL, Microservices, REST services and AWS Cloud technology stack.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
  • Solid experience utilizing Source code control software (e.g., GIT, Subversion) and building projects using Maven.
  • Be a self-starter and be able to reach out to various groups to get the requirements to completion.
  • Experience in working with SRE model based teams.
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills with Unix and Windows platform.
  • Familiar with various tools such as Autosys, GENEOS, Sitescope, Splunk, Dynatrace, Control M, Jules, Auto Pilot
  • Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Automation experience using RPA tools.
  • Exposure to container and orchestration technologies (ECS, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Exposure to Data security in cloud.
  • Exposure to Spark & disturbed programming.
  • Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Cloud based environment support and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of maintaining a Cloud-base infrastructure, shell scripting and/ Programming language.
