Job Details
Job Summary (List Format):
- Job Title: Deployment Specialist (MES Applications)
- Location: Must be local to Greenville, SC / Asheboro, NC / Plattsburgh, NY / Chicago, IL (Hybrid role)
- Travel Requirement: Up to 30% annually (paid)
- Sponsorship: Not available
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, test, and deploy Level 2 MES applications at manufacturing sites.
- Troubleshoot and optimize application code and conversion scripts.
- Collaborate with local plant teams to gather requirements and ensure smooth rollouts.
- Train plant owners and provide post-go-live application support.
- Perform light coding and code modifications to resolve deployment issues.
Technical Environment:
- Servers/OS: Windows Server 2008 2019, VMware ESXi
- Applications: .NET Framework (C#), ASP.Net/WPF, transitioning to .NET Core microservices and Blazor UI
- Databases: Oracle & PostgreSQL (preferred), SQL querying
- Networking: TCP/IP, Modbus, Ethernet, VLANs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP
- Industrial Integrations: PLCs, OPC/OPC UA, Kepware, RSLinx, OSIsoft PI
- Tools: Git/TFS, JIRA, ServiceNow, PowerBI, CI/CD
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- Advanced Windows Server administration skills (2008 2019)
- Ability to read and modify code in PHP, C#, and C++
- Experience with database administration (PostgreSQL and/or Oracle)
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Modbus, VLANs, firewalls)
- Excellent English communication skills (native or B2+ fluency)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management or plant deployment experience in industrial manufacturing
- PMP or LEAN certification
- Exposure to Go, Rust, Oracle RMAN, OpenVMS, HPUX, or DECNET

- Excels in systems administration, field deployment, and application support in complex manufacturing environments.
- Strong technical troubleshooting abilities and willingness to engage in light software development for application support.
