Job Details

Piper Companies is seeking a Data Engineer highly skilled with collecting, processing, and analyzing data to uncover insights and support informed decision-making within an organization. The ideal Data Engineer will be hybrid 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) in Cary, NC .

Requirements for the Data Engineer include:

Identify improvement opportunities by collaborating with business leaders and users.

Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and pain points.

Design and optimize complex data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation and analysis.

Work with analysts and associates to process and analyze information.

Create process flows for business procedures and evaluate potential system enhancements.

Qualifications for the Data Engineer include:

5+ years of experience working hands on with SQL and Power BI.

2+ years of experience in the financial services field

Advanced understanding of Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Azure.

Strong understanding Python

Ability to work with multiple projects at once

Communicate and document requirements from business stakeholders and technical leaders

Bachelors degree in computer information systems or related field, Masters preferred.

Must be able to hold a security clearance in the US

Compensation for the Data Engineer includes:

Salary range: $125,000 - $145,000
