Job Details

Position: Workday Payroll Test Lead
Location: remote
Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end testing activities for Workday Payroll implementations, upgrades, or integrations.
Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Manage and coordinate functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, payroll teams, and Workday functional/technical teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
Ensure compliance with country-specific payroll regulations and tax rules.
Identify and track defects, coordinate with developers or configuration teams for resolution.
Provide regular updates and reports to project leadership on test progress, risks, and issues.
Support cutover and post-go-live activities including parallel and audit testing.
Mentor junior testers and oversee test execution quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

6 10 years of QA/testing experience with at least 3+ years in Workday Payroll.
Deep understanding of Workday Payroll modules (Global, as applicable).
Strong experience with payroll testing scenarios including gross-to-net calculations, tax withholdings, garnishments, retro pay, and year-end processing.
Experience using testing tools (e.g., HP ALM, JIRA, Workday test automation tools like Kainos Smart).
Familiarity with Workday HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, and integrations is a plus.
Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced, global, cross-functional teams.
