Description

SAIC is seeking a Messaging Center Analyst to support 24/7 operations in a large federal government agency's Operations Center. Employee will perform on-site, at a secure government location on one of three shifts, to include weekend and holiday rotations. Shifts are TBD.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
  • Perform as a messaging and communications center analyst in a 24/7/365 Operations Center to ensure critical messages are transmitted and received per standard operating procedures and delivered to recipients.
  • Conducts regularly scheduled maintenance procedures, i.e. backups, updates and downloading processes for the various DT systems.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, perform recovery and maintenance activities on complex messaging platforms.
  • Support ATO requirements, i.e. (System Security Plan (SSP), Incident Response, Contingency Plan, Control and Origination Statements, STIG configurations).
  • Perform periodic system and network health checks per SOP.
  • Update and maintain shift logs, recording and detailing events.
  • Participate in shift turn-over activities.
  • Escalate issues to technical resources and other stakeholders expediently and monitor the status of all open trouble tickets.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • BS Degree and 2-8 years experience; MS and 1-6 years; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Reliability, detail oriented, and strong sense of work commitment to report to duty on time, as scheduled.
  • Knowledge and experience installing, updating, and troubleshooting network systems and protocols.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Server and workstation operating systems, Adobe, Microsoft Office applications, i.e. (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Skills and experience installing, updating, and troubleshooting software applications on Microsoft operating systems.
  • Knowledge of regulations, policies, practices, and procedures relative to information systems security.
  • Familiarity with Federal Government computer system operations and processes to advise.
  • Ability to follow Standard Operations Procedures and verbal direction.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivation, professional demeanor and accountability.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills under high-pressure time sensitive environments.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

DESIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:
  • Previous experience working in commercial, government or military 24x7 messaging/comms centers.
  • Basic TCP/IP networking skills.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
