We are seeking an experienced Optimizely (Episerver) Architect to lead the modernization of our digital experience platform, including a major migration from Optimizely CMS v11 to v12. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical architect who can define scalable architecture, guide development teams, and implement personalization strategies using the Optimizely Data Platform (ODP).
You will work closely with product, UX, and engineering teams to design a performant, secure, and future-ready CMS platform, with integration into Cloudflare CDN, YARP reverse proxy, and potential AI-driven features.
Responsibilities-
Lead the technical architecture and solution design of Optimizely CMS (v11 v12) migration.

Define, architect, and implement Optimizely CMS components, APIs, content models, and integrations.

Implement personalization and customer data strategies using Optimizely Data Platform (ODP).

Provide architectural governance, code reviews, guidelines, and best practices for the dev team.

Work with infrastructure teams to configure Cloudflare CDN, caching, edge rules, and security settings.

Design and support reverse proxy routing using YARP.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to align CMS architecture with business needs.

Drive performance optimization, scalability improvements, and system reliability.

Support potential AI-based chatbot integration with internal knowledge bases.

Ensure security, accessibility, SEO, and maintainability across digital properties.

Document architecture, workflows, and technical solutions.

7 12+ years of experience in .NET/C# web development and CMS engineering.

4+ years of hands-on experience with Optimizely/Episerver CMS.

Proven experience architecting Optimizely solutions, including custom components, APIs, workflows.

Strong experience migrating Optimizely v11 to v12 (.NET Framework .NET 6+).

Hands-on expertise with Optimizely Data Platform (ODP) and personalization.

Experience working with Cloudflare CDN for performance, caching, routing, and security.

Experience configuring and managing YARP reverse proxy.

Strong understanding of architecture patterns, microservices, API design, and scalable applications.

Ability to lead development teams, guide technical decisions, and communicate complex concepts clearly.
