Job Description
We have a position open for Desktop Engineer/Support Tech located at Western KY Correctional Complex in Fredonia, KY.
We re seeking a knowledgeable technician with a high aptitude for customer service.
Candidates must have minimum 1-2yrs experience in Desktop Support or similar role.
Experience must include installation, troubleshooting, and repair of devices in a windows-based environment.
Along with desktop duties selected candidates may be required to assist with security cameras, servers, and network switches.
This position will provide desktop support for approx. 210 devices & support DOC staff within the Correctional Complex, but will also interact or be among prison inmates as they are used for work detail, etc.

Qualified candidates must maintain a valid driver s license and be able to lift and carry heavy objects or work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time.
The candidate must be able to pass a DOC background check and extensive drug test prior to starting.
DOC holds training that can last up to 2-3 weeks.
This training teaches them how to work, adapt, and conduct themselves in a prison atmosphere.
