QA Test Lead with Databrick (s)

CLIENT & JOB SPECS:

Client Location: Baltimore, MD (remote)

Specific Job Functions: help lead large migrations from an EDW to a modern data platform.

Required Skills: must understand the cloud & Databricks

 

  • Lead QA Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy for the migration project, ensuring all testing activities align with project goals and timelines.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality testing outcomes.
  • Test Planning: Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various phases of the migration, including functional, performance, and security testing.
  • Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration and testing of migrated data.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, working with the development team to ensure timely resolution and retesting.
  • Quality Standards: Establish and enforce quality standards and best practices for testing, ensuring compliance with TRICARE requirements and industry regulations.
  • Reporting: Provide regular status updates and detailed reports on testing progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest QA trends and technologies, continuously improving testing processes and methodologies
