Role: Senior SailPoint Ping IAM Analyst

Expected Duration: 12 months / 2080 hours (11/1/25 8/31/26)

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

Must Have: SailPoint IdentityNow and Ping Identity Platforms

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Manage and maintain SailPoint IdentityNow and Ping Identity platforms, including configuration, integration, lifecycle management, and performance monitoring.

Lead and support onboarding of applications and services into the IAM ecosystem while implementing identity governance policies, access certifications, and role-based access controls.

Support audits and compliance by generating access reports; assist in developing IAM standards and best practices; participate in incident response and remediation efforts.

Minimum Candidate Characteristics:

7+ years of experience in identity and access management, including provisioning, de-provisioning, access reviews, entitlement management, and administration of platforms like SailPoint and Ping Identity

Skilled in directory services (Active Directory, LDAP), SSO, MFA, federation protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), and scripting (PowerShell, Python) for automation and customization in enterprise environments

Exceptional Candidate Characteristics:

Experience with one or more Texas State Agencies

SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Engineer and/or Ping Identity Certified Professional

Experience with security frameworks

Responsibilities:

The client is seeking a skilled and motivated Network Security Administrator II to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. This role is responsible for administering and supporting the SailPoint IdentityNow and Ping Identity platforms to ensure secure, efficient, and compliant access to TxDOT systems and resources.

The workers responsibilities and skills must include:

  • Administer and maintain SailPoint IdentityNow and Ping Identity platforms, including configuration, integration, and lifecycle management.
  • Assist with onboarding applications to SailPoint platform.
  • Implement and manage identity governance policies, access certifications, and role-based access controls.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to onboard applications and services into the IAM ecosystem.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot IAM-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Support audits and compliance initiatives by providing access reports and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of IAM standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in incident response and remediation efforts related to identity and access.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and stakeholders.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a creative thinker to solve issues.

Minimum (Required):

  • 7 Years of Experience in identity and access management.
  • 7 Years of Experience with directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP), SSO, MFA, and federation protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
  • 7 Years of Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and customization.
  • 7 Years of Experience working in enterprise environments with complex IAM requirements.
  • 7 Years of Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including provisioning, de-provisioning, access reviews, and entitlement management.
  • 7 Years of Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving IAM platform issues.
  • 7 Years of Ability to interpret and apply security policies and standards.
  • 7 Years of Skilled in collaborating with the technical and functional teams to develop documents need in support of the solution.
  • 5 Years of Skilled in collaborating with the technical and functional teams to develop documents need in support of the solution.
  • 4 Years of Hands-on experience administering SailPoint and/or Ping Identity solutions.

Preferred (Optional):

  • 4 Years of Experience with one or more of the state of Texas government agencies
  • 4 Years of Certifications such as SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Engineer and/or Ping Identity Certified Professional.
  • 4 Years of Familiarity with ITIL, NIST, or other security frameworks.
