Job Title: Oracle DBA Full-time

Location: Austin, TX (Remote)

We're searching for a skilled Oracle DBA to manage and maintain our Oracle database environments. You'll collaborate with data engineers, developers, and product managers to ensure the availability, performance, and security of our databases.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform regular backups, restores, and data recovery procedures.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect database integrity and data privacy.
  • Work closely with data engineers and developers to support database operations and application requirements.
  • Conduct capacity planning and scaling to meet business needs.
  • Write and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in Oracle database technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, administration, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL scripting.
  • Familiarity with database backup and recovery tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their database services is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
