Job Description

Experience Required - 7+ Years

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

  • Understanding of P&C insurance rating principles, insurance products, and rating methodologies.
  • Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to translate actuarial specifications into functional specifications, especially on rating & Pricing area
  • Working knowledge of rating platforms in connection with policy admin system to understand end to end premium flow for any policy life cycle event.
  • Working experience in JIRA, JWM or Rally for work reporting and status cascade including backlog management working in agile environments.
  • Strong requirement gathering knowledge and ability to write user stories articulating business acceptance criteria.
  • Apply pricing components and rating methodology to price existing and new products based on technical analysis of existing legacy systems.
  • Proven ability to partner integrating teams including pricing & underwriting along with predictive modelling team as well.
  • Proven expertise in identifying the data dependencies, model integration & downstream impacts.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Applying Insurance Domain knowledge especially on P&C business in Auto Domain preferably will be added advantage and reduce time understanding requirements
  • Need to apply the system - functional Analysis in terms of identifying the rules, logic from legacy system and articulate them in writing the user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Need to understand and partner effectively identifying the right areas to discuss with predictive modelling team along with pricing & underwriting team.
  • Backlog management in JIRA and maintaining proper agile ceremonies in coordination with intervening teams and customers.
  • Ability to write efficient pseudo code for deriving any transformation logic to be used and referred to in the acceptance criteria for effective clarity at the time of development.
  • Applying mathematical concepts and logic sense in correlating the business requirements with application components and linking the same.
  • Document code and data conversion process to maintain the traceability and transparency of requirements to code implementation
  • Excellent coordination skills with clear communication between business & IT stakeholders and offshore for seamless communication
  • Publishing weekly status reporting on the work done and highlighting any risks and impediments and mitigation plan towards the same.
