Job Title: QA Testing Analyst

Job Description
The role is responsible for the planning, integration, test case development, scripting, and execution of comprehensive testing efforts to ensure proper coverage and quality assurance across projects. This includes:
- Leading and scheduling test deliverable review sessions.
- Serving as a subject matter expert on one or more moderate to highly complex projects or systems.
- Collaborating with Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) and Development teams to analyze business objectives and ensure requirements are testable.
- Participating in architectural and technical design reviews.
- Developing, documenting, and maintaining test data, validation processes, and end-to-end testing flows.
- Executing manual and/or automated testing processes and reporting results.
- Running database queries to support data validation within test scripts.
- Updating test cases based on approved change requests.
- Supporting defect analysis, triage, severity assignment, and defect lifecycle management.
- Coordinating with project managers and colleagues to meet target dates and deliverables under changing conditions.
- Creating test status reports, test results, and summary deliverables to ensure production readiness.
- Drafting and facilitating review of the Test Strategy with project teams.
- Identifying and escalating potential quality issues per defined processes.
- Collecting testing sign-offs from all participants, including cross-impacted application teams.
- Ensuring completion of all testing types: manual, regression, automation, and performance.
- Estimating test efforts in collaboration with the Project Test Lead.
- Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts as needed.
- Maintaining regression test beds to reflect changing requirements.
- Participating in off-hour production releases and supporting warranty periods.
- Working under moderate supervision with latitude for independent judgment and problem-solving.
- Providing mentorship to junior team members.
- Consistently following the project lifecycle methodology.
- Proven experience creating test plans and test scripts.
- Ability to identify expected results through collaboration with developers, business stakeholders, and requirement sources.
- Moderate to advanced SQL skills.
- Strong focus on data testing (not UI/front-end testing).
- Experience maintaining test data generators; Python knowledge preferred.
- Scripting or programming experience (Python preferred; Excel macros also relevant).
- Development experience, ideally in Python.
- Familiarity with financial data and large-scale data migrations.
- Experience with API testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a curious mindset.
- Ability to manage and prioritize own work with minimal supervision.
- Self-starter capable of navigating systems and concepts with limited documentation.
- Highly collaborative and comfortable in team-oriented environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Background in collections, commercial loans, or credit cards is a plus (but not required).
