Immediate need for a talented Systems Engineer. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Westlake, TX, / Merrimack, NH(Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $58 - $63/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • AWS/Azure
  • Bachelor s degree or higher in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required, Master s degree or equivalent experience a plus
  • 5-7+ years of demonstrated hands-on expertise in configuring, deploying and/or supporting highly distributed multi-tiered systems at scale.
  • Experience managing technology environment stability and availability.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices
  • Knowledge of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and principles.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies, delivery projects, and implementation.
  • Knowledge of basic networking (ping, traceroute, DNS)
  • Experience with search and analytics engines (Splunk, DataDog )
  • Experience production support systems (Service Now, Udeploy, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with workflow design, data analysis, and requirements identification/specification
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies including SaaS solutions in the cloud and AWS/AZURE
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with container orchestration, preferably with Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated technologies
  • Experience with Shell and Python scripting
  • Production support experience with financial systems
  • Demonstrated creative and abstract thinking.
  • Ability to triage, execute root cause analysis, and be decisive under pressure.
  • Ability to provide 24x7 support for the production environments
  • Experience of docker, cloud-computing / cloud services platforms (e.g., AWS or Azure)
  • AWS Certification a plus
