V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Technician III (System Administration) (Remote) for our premier client.
Education and Experience »
Top Skills & Years of Experience: 1 or more years of experience in the below:
- Proficiency in using VMware to manage Windows and Linux Servers.
- Building, configuring, and managing Windows and Linux servers in a complex environment with over 300 servers.
- Implementing and maintaining security and disaster recovery measures on Windows and Linux servers to safeguard data and applications.
- Answering support tickets, assisting users with issues related to Windows servers and applications.
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with users and stakeholders.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience monitoring system performance and uptime.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Intune, and/or M365 a plus.
- Knowledge of IAM systems and two factor authentication, in particular Okta, also preferred.
- Experience working with MS SQL servers and clusters.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
- Seeks a contractor to help augment Systems and Engineering team that oversees IT infrastructure and server systems.
- The current team members are involved in a project to migrate servers, consolidating systems into new data centers.
- Will work with the team, stakeholders, and clients migrating Windows and Linux machines and perform day-to-day systems administration work.
