Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager for one of our government facing clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead assigned projects supporting various programs within Optum Serve
  • Help develop project scope statements, in consultation with applicable stakeholders (e.g. Project Charter, Business Case)
  • Work with resource managers to drive the identification of the skills, duration and effort required for successful project execution
  • Collect, analyze and maintain financial forecast information (e.g. labor, hardware, software), using input from applicable sources
  • Establish/apply quality objectives, criteria, standards and levels using appropriate quality management methods, with stakeholder input (e.g. key performance indicators, scope definition)
  • Develop, communicate and implement program/project risk/issue management plans and strategies (e.g. mitigation, avoidance, transfer, acceptance)
  • Potential for up to 10% travel

Requirements Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Software, Business, Engineering or related discipline with an emphasis in Project Management. Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience will be considered.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated Project Management experience
  • PMP Certification
  • Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum project management methodologies
  • Possess a broad understanding of the 5 stages of project management: Initiation, Planning Execution, Monitor and Control, Closeout. Be able to articulate this understanding with relevant work experience.
  • Healthcare management experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Microsoft Project, Visio, Access, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Candidates must have:
  • Leadership experience
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Good organization skills and the ability to balance projects of varying complexity simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills
  • Have the ability to facilitate and negotiate consensus around project and/or product goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with Adobe Workfront or Smartsheets
