We are currently seeking a Staff R&D Engineer to join our team of passionate innovators and engineers. You will need to live within commuting distance to our 6001 Oak Canyon Suite 100, Irvine, CA office.

You will need to be in the office 5 days a week.

What You Will Do
  • Design, develop, and test components and subsystems for medical devices with minimal supervision
  • Translate user needs into design specifications and deliver system-level solutions
  • Lead prototyping and testing efforts to validate design performance
  • Identify and resolve complex design issues using sound engineering judgment
  • Apply clinical knowledge to support Voice of Customer sessions
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and mentor others in design control practices
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including Design History Files
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive projects from concept through launch

What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field)
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Proven hands-on experience in injection molding processes is essential
  • Practical experience with design controls, particularly in developing Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
  • Strong knowledge of test method development and execution of Design Verification (DV) activities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in developing technical specifications for products or processes
  • Background in manufacturing environments and design for manufacturing practices
  • Prior experience in the medical device or healthcare industry is highly preferred, including hands-on experience in pre-clinical or human clinical settings

$87,600 - $186,700 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 10%
