Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of an IRIX Developer for a contract position in Bloomington, MN. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced IRIX developer to join our team. As an IRIX developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications for the IRIX operating system. You will work closely with our team of engineers to create high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications for the IRIX operating system.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues with existing software applications.
• Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest IRIX releases and patches.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the IRIX development community.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience developing software for the IRIX operating system.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
• Experience with IRIX development tools and libraries.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with other Unix-based operating systems is a plus.

Preferred:

• Experience with graphics programming on the IRIX platform.
• Knowledge of OpenGL and other graphics libraries.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
