PEGA Program Manager oversees large-scale programs that leverage the Pega platform to meet an organization's business objectives. This strategic leadership role involves managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Program and project management: The program manager plans, initiates, and executes large Pega programs and related projects. This includes defining program scope, overseeing budgets, managing schedules, and tracking performance metrics.
 - Resource allocation: They are responsible for managing resources, including Pega developers, system architects, and business architects. They lead and coach project teams, providing guidance and fostering professional growth.
 - Stakeholder engagement: A core function is to act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients and senior leadership. The program manager must manage stakeholder communications and expectations at all levels.
 - Strategy and alignment: They align the Pega delivery strategy with broader business goals, advising on how to best utilize the Pega platform to achieve the company's expected return on investment (ROI).
 - Governance and reporting: The role involves maintaining accurate project documentation, status reports, and forecasts to ensure accountability and track progress.
 - Delivery methodology: The program manager demonstrates a deep understanding of Pega delivery methodology and Agile frameworks like Scrum, ensuring proper implementation across projects.
 - Risk and issue management: They identify, track, and mitigate program-level risks and resolve issues that could impede project progress.
 
Essential skills:
- Pega platform knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Pega platform, including its development and implementation processes, as well as an awareness of its business process management (BPM) capabilities.
 - Technical expertise: While a manager, they should possess strong technical skills in software development and architecture to effectively guide technical teams and translate complex requirements.
 - Program management skills: Exceptional skills in planning, monitoring, and controlling large-scale programs with an eye for strategy and long-term vision.
 - Agile methodology: Proven experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum to guide teams and manage development cycles.
 - Leadership and communication: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are required to motivate teams, engage stakeholders, and drive project excellence.
 - Financial management: The ability to oversee program budgets and financial forecasts to ensure fiscal responsibility.
