- Strong skills in hybrid server infrastructure with Azure/O365 is a requirement
- Knowledge and experience in routing & switching and firewalls is required
Summary:
As a Senior Systems/Network Administrator, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and overseeing the network, establishing and maintaining network standards, and ensuring network stability and security across the organization.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish network and infrastructure standards across the organization.
- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual server and network infrastructure platforms.
- Respond to and resolve network related incidents in a timely manner, address alerts and escalations, and work with IT leadership, other IT teams, and vendors to produce strategic solutions to recurring problems.
- Assist in the configuration and troubleshooting of IP based peripherals such as printers, scanners, mobile devices, etc.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential security threats and vulnerabilities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to minimize risk.
- Maintain inventory of network hardware, software and licensed assets.
- Maintain network topology and diagrams, network device alerting structure and network management tools in general to ensure all devices location and status are known 24x7 and detected issues actioned.
- Train users to successfully operate new systems and equipment as needed.
- Conduct network vulnerabilities scans and privileged access rights reviews at specified periods i.e., weekly, monthly, quarterly.
- Establish and maintain network device patching cadence.
- Maintain network backups and ensure periodic testing as part of DR plan.
- Participate in 24/7 On-Call Rotation and act as primary contact point for network related issues
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience
- 8+ years of experience as a Network and/or System Admin
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies, server platforms, etc.
- Strong knowledge of on prem and cloud routing and switching (FortiNet, Cisco, Meraki, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of On-Prem Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, etc.
- Microsoft, Help Desk, and Security professional certifications
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday with on-call requirements (must be willing to travel up top25%)
