RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client is looking for a Project Controls Specialist for a long-term contract role in Austin, TX.
Summary:
The primary objective of this role is to support Self Perform teams manage their budget forecast and spend. Ideal candidates must possess excellent communication and analytical skills, sound judgment, relative problem-solving abilities, have a strong quality and customer-focused mindset, have the personal drive and stamina for relentlessness, and the ability to quickly adapt to change, along with a strong connection to the company's mission.
Responsibilities:
* Cost Management, Cost Analysis, Cost Reporting and Benchmarking throughout various project phases
* Review and approve purchase order requests
* Establish and maintain quality performance metrics
* Create and develop status reports and summaries for executive management in conjunction with project/program leads
* Track project forecasts and costs using Power BI tools
* Employ a can-do attitude, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the program goals
* Develop tools that enable efficient operations maximizing the team's time spent on solving problems
* Detailed reporting and cost focused while monitoring, reporting, dashboarding
* KPIS, cost performance, schedule performance index
* Track costs, labor, and see where we are at
* Quantity surveying and progress in the field is being tracked accordingly
* Track within budget and schedule
* Diving deep on mechanical side but supporting some CSA too; Not as quantity driven but flag any risks
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5-10 years of post-graduate experience working in project controls or construction management in Industrial construction preferred
* Advanced Excel experience
* Strong interpersonal skills, able to develop channels of communication while understanding and managing professional relationships
* Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills are a must
* Willingness to get your hands dirty to understand the projects and programs you are supporting
* Ability to understand cost and schedule and the project lifecycle
* Ability to drive communication within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines, aggressive goals, and demanding work environment
* Have an inquisitive and open attitude to exploring new ideas and eagerness to continuously learn and take on tough problems
* Ability to perform in a fast pace high stress environment
* Data science/analytic skills experience with Power BI is a plus are a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
