Job Description:

Power Systems Applications Engineer - Network transmission, SCADA and EMS functions
Must have technical/functional skills
5+ years of work experience in development, customizing and delivering Energy Management Systems for Electric Power Utilities leveraging industry practices
Knowledgeable and Proficient in Electric SCADA, Power DMS, Transmission EMS Implementations
5 years of experience with C, Java & SQL/Oracle Database
5+ years of experience with OOPS skills with C++, Full stack Java or other related language.
5+ years of experience with AEMS product (design and development).
years of experience with LINUX and Windows Operating Systems
SQL, shell scripting, ability to read and interpret logs & debug files
Installation of Operating system patches and other 3rd Party Software such as Oracle, NetApp etc.
System configuration and Hands on Experience in GitHub and ClearCase
5 years' experience on Realtime or Mission Critical Systems
Must have experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems
Proven track record of problem analysis, identification and resolution
Strong troubleshooting & debugging skills
Preferable Skills:
Preferable work experience in customizing and implementing Network or Transmission Applications (such as Load Flow, State Estimator, A OPF, CA etc) preferably on GE's Reliance (XA21), as well as EMS/DMS/SCADA of any equivalent platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider etc.
Experience performing data modelling will be a plus.
Roles and responsibilities
Responsible for advanced Power Systems Application software development and successful delivery of assigned functions to meet corporate project/product commitments. The responsibilities include working with Electric Utilities or ISOS (Independent System Operators) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs) on functional software specifications, designing, coding, testing, integration, application tuning and delivery
