RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Analyst in Birmingham, AL.
Summary:
Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to join a digital product team supporting a commercial banking onboarding platform used for originating deposit accounts for business clients. This position will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams-facilitating requirement gathering, process mapping, data analysis, and documentation to ensure that business needs are clearly translated into actionable technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Analyst will partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to define, document, and manage business requirements
* Conduct process mapping, data analysis, and competitive analysis to support solution design and optimization
* Develop detailed business cases, user stories, and documentation to support new functionality or enhancements
* Engage directly with commercial banking associates to understand data and reporting needs that support client onboarding
* Utilize JIRA for backlog management and tracking deliverables
* Use Figma, Lucidchart, or other process visualization tools to map workflows and document processes
* As a Business Analyst, you will perform data analysis and reporting using Excel to inform business decisions and validate outcomes
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve the client experience through enhancements to onboarding tools and digital platforms
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in business or systems analysis or a closely related discipline
* Experience using and process mapping tools such as Figma or Lucidchart
* Experience using JIRA
* Demonstrated expertise in requirement gathering, process documentation, and data analysis/reporting
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface effectively between business and technical teams
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Collaborative team player with the ability to build strong relationships across functions
* Self-motivated with a high level of accountability and attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
* MBA or closely related advanced degree
* Commercial banking experience (highly preferred)
* Experience working with digital onboarding platforms or client origination tools
* Background in banking or financial services environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
