The IT Network/Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of IT infrastructure across our U.S. operations. This includes systems, networks, cybersecurity, and telephony. Working closely with the System and Network Coordinator, this role supports both the day-to-day management and strategic evolution of the company s IT environment emphasizing cybersecurity, automation, and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and secure on-premise and virtual server environments, LAN/WAN networks, Wi-Fi, telephony, and multi-site connectivity.
Maintain and support core services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, etc.
Monitor system resources and respond to incidents proactively using appropriate tools.
Implement and maintain security solutions including antivirus, firewalls, MFA, patching, backups, and network segmentation.
Automate deployment and administration tasks using PowerShell or similar scripting tools.
Enforce group-wide IT security policies in collaboration with external cybersecurity providers and the Group IT Manager.
Contribute to infrastructure upgrade initiatives (e.g., cloud migrations, network redesigns, and security enhancements).
Collaborate on business-driven IT projects including application integrations and ERP deployments.
Provide level 1 and 2 support to local users and production sites.
Resolve incidents related to access management, VPN, shared resources, M365, VOIP, and printing.
Handle complex issue escalations and contribute to IT documentation and knowledge base development.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, AD, M365, Azure AD).
Experience with network architecture (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, QoS, SD-WAN).
Proficient in virtualization (e.g., VMware) and backup solutions (e.g., Veeam).
Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts: identity management, segmentation, system hardening, etc.
Familiar with hybrid cloud environments (Azure, Oracle Cloud preferred).
Automation and scripting experience (PowerShell or similar).
