As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be integral to the Identity Platform team, responsible for the development, design, testing, and operations of Identity, Authentication, Authorization, Session Management, and more for two of the Splunk Products - Splunk Observability and Splunk AppDynamics.

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Technical Skills:
Basic Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent training or work experience.
- 8+ years of experience building complex distributed backend systems.
- Sound knowledge of data structures, algorithms and other computer science basics.
- Ability to create low level designs and implement complex backend systems.
- Operate and monitor production systems, ensuring their reliability and performance.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written along with ability to work well in a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with authentication and authorization standards, protocols and technologies, including OAuth2, OIDC, RBAC and ABAC
- Proficiency in Java 8+.
- Experience with frontend development in Angular, React and similar frameworks is a plus.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, cloud native development on AWS & Google Cloud Platform.
