Sr. IT Engineer-Citrix /VDI Specialist

Eclaro's client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced IT Engineer with Citrix and RHEL VDI desktop expertise to join their dynamic IT team.

As an IT Engineer you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing their Citrix environment, as well as experience deploying and supporting Red Hat Linux VDI desktops. Our client is particularly interested in candidates with extensive Citrix experience, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in Citrix technologies, including at least version 7, and possess expertise in firmware upgrades and patching NetScaler or Citrix ADC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot Citrix environments, focusing on XenApp/XenDesktop/Virtual Apps and Desktop.
• Work collaboratively with the IT team to ensure the seamless delivery of virtualized applications and desktops.
• Implement and support VDI delivery models, including published apps, shared desktops, pooled desktops, personal desktops, and both persistent and non-persistent configurations, with focus in RHEL enterprise environments.
• Utilize your expertise in Citrix provisioning methods, with a strong preference for experience in both PVS (Provisioning Services) and MCS (Machine Creation Services).
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure the smooth operation of Citrix environments and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

• Current experience working with Citrix technologies and VDI technologies.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop/Virtual Apps and Desktop, and RHEL VDI desktop deployment and support.
• Hands-on experience with at least version 7.x of Citrix, with a preference for candidates familiar with 7.15 LTSR or newer.
• Expertise in VDI delivery models, including published apps, shared desktops, pooled desktops, personal desktops, and both persistent and non-persistent configurations.
• Proficient in Citrix provisioning methods, with experience in both PVS and MCS.
• Ideally, experience with NetScaler or Citrix ADC, including knowledge of series such as SDX, MPX, or VPX.

Other Responsibilities:

• Provide Windows Systems Administration on Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and other Microsoft application on-premises and on O365 Cloud.
• Enterprise servers patching management and software deployment.
• Diagnoses and resolves technical hardware and software issues where applicable.
• Expert in design and manage Citrix VDI with migration experience in global scale.
• Migration experience of MS SharePoint in global scale
• Provide technical assistance to the IT support engineer as an escalation resource.
• Build standard support procedures, Operation SOP, and provides troubleshooting guideline.
• Design and deploy the IT Microsoft infrastructure and services on Microsoft O365
• Compares, evaluates, and implements new technologies, and integrates them into the computing environment.
• Lead and manage IT projects in global scale.
• Troubleshooting major mail flow issue with spam gateway such as Proofpoint or equivalent
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Minimum of 8+ years of Sr. IT Engineer or Sr. IT System Engineer experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience with at least version 7.x of Citrix, with a preference for candidates familiar with 7.15 LTSR or newer.
• Expert in design and manage Citrix VDI with migration experience in global scale
• Must have strong written and verbal communication, organizational, detail-oriented, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to multi-task, work independently and as a member of a team, interface with other branches of the organization, work effectively with diverse constituencies, and solve problems and make decisions while under pressure and time constraints.
