Description
What is the opportunity?
As part of the AML Risk Assessment team, you will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of a financial services' enterprise AML/ATF Risk and Control Assessment processes. These roles are critical to identifying and assessing inherent risks, evaluating control effectiveness, and delivering high-quality risk assessment products that support regulatory compliance and inform business decisions.
Risk Methodology & Assessment Lead
What will you do?
Design and execute enterprise-wide assessments of financial crimes risks and controls across banking platforms, business units, and jurisdictions
Stay current on regulatory and industry developments to update methodology and supporting documentation (procedures, training, communication plans)
Develop capabilities for quantitative and qualitative assessment of inherent risks, control effectiveness, and residual risk
Create and maintain training materials for AML/ATF Risk Assessment and Control Self Assessments
Leverage AML expertise to establish and challenge risk ratings
Perform expert analysis to identify concentrations of risk and recommend mitigation strategies
Deliver high-quality risk assessment products to support compliance and business decisions
Must Haves:
Post-secondary education or equivalent
2+ years of experience in risk management and compliance
Strong knowledge of AML/ATF laws and control environments
Familiarity with banking products and services
Strong data literacy and ability to interpret and challenge quantitative outcomes
