Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP GTS Legal Control processes.

  • Analyze and translate business requirements related to export compliance, license management, and embargo checks into technical solutions.

  • Integrate Legal Control with SAP SD/MM and logistics processes.

  • Maintain and customize legal regulations, legal control groups, and license types.

  • Configure and maintain embargo checks, legal control checks, and license determination logic.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, compliance officers, and IT teams to ensure alignment with global trade policies.

  • Support SAP GTS upgrades, enhancements, and testing (unit, integration, UAT).

  • Provide expert-level support and guidance for issue resolution and continuous improvement.

  • Stay up to date with trade compliance regulations and advise the business on changes.

  • Document functional and technical specifications, training materials, and end-user guides.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in SAP GTS, with 3+ years specifically in Legal Control.

  • Strong understanding of global trade compliance regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, EU dual-use regulations).

  • Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA integration.

  • Ability to lead workshops, gather requirements, and propose optimal SAP solutions.

  • Hands-on experience in license management, legal control master data, customs management (optional), and sanctioned party list screening (optional).

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
