Job Details

We are seeking an experienced APG Application Engineer MES to support the implementation, integration, and optimization of Manufacturing Execution Systems within high-tech manufacturing environments. This role requires a strong background in factory automation, deep knowledge of MES platforms, and hands-on experience working in semiconductor or similar high-volume manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and deployment of MES solutions across manufacturing operations.
  • Integrate MES with factory automation systems and enterprise-level tools (ERP, PLM, SPC, APC, Equipment Automation).
  • Support end-to-end MES lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, validation, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot MES applications, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams for seamless integration and data flow.
  • Develop system documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure MES solutions align with manufacturing KPIs, quality standards, and production workflows.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on industry best practices for semiconductor/solar/display/PCB manufacturing systems.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of experience working with MES systems in high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Proven hands-on experience implementing MES solutions and integrating with automation systems.
  • Strong background in semiconductor, solar, display, or PCB manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of factory automation, equipment communication protocols, and data acquisition.
  • Experience with MES platforms such as Camstar, Apriso, CIM, PROMIS, Eyelit, FlexNet, or similar.
  • Ability to work with SQL databases, scripting, and API/Web services integration.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with APC, SPC, Equipment Engineering Systems (EES), or Factory Control Systems.
  • Familiarity with SECS/GEM, OPC, or related communication standards.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing data models and digital transformation initiatives.
