Job Summary:

We are seeking detail-oriented and tech-savvy individuals to support a large-scale transition from legacy Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to Epic. In this role, doctors and nurses receive hands-on support while adapting to the new Epic system. As a Workstation Support Proctor, you will ensure that each workstation is properly configured, troubleshoot basic technical issues, and provide real-time assistance to medical professionals during their training sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily workstation support, including login assistance, hardware setup (monitors, keyboards, headsets), and basic troubleshooting.
  • Support Epic EHR users by ensuring toolbars, sidebars, and other interface elements are functioning correctly.
  • Assist trainees in navigating coursework and staying on track during training sessions.
  • Act as the first line of technical support, relieving trainers of tech-related responsibilities.
  • Maintain a professional and patient demeanor while interacting with doctors, nurses, and other trainees.
  • Document and escalate unresolved technical issues as needed.
  • Ensure each workstation is ready for use based on the daily agenda of medical staff in a "hoteling" environment.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Familiarity with Epic EHR systems (toolbar, sidebar, navigation).
  • Familiarity with Workday for logging in and basic system navigation.
  • Strong technical support skills, especially in hardware setup and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to work calmly in high-pressure environments.
  • Ability to follow structured processes and support multiple users simultaneously.

Preferred Background:
  • Experience in a medical or clinical setting, such as a doctor's office or hospital.
  • Previous role as a student aid or support staff in a fast-paced training or academic environment.
  • Exposure to hardware break/fix and AV support.
  • Familiarity with call center operations, even if not phone-based.
