Job Title: Part-Time Production Specialist

Job Type: W2 Contract - 12 months

Location: Rigby, ID (onsite - Tue, Wed, and Thur)

Schedule: M - F, 20 - 30 hours per week

Pay Rate: $33 / hour

Position Overview:

The Production Material Specialist supports cross-functional teams by managing raw material tracking, reporting, and communication across Design, Development, Production, Accounting, and global factories/mills. This role focuses on execution, accuracy, and ensuring material flow remains aligned with production timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track raw material purchase order delivery status and maintain weekly WIP reports.
  • Identify at-risk materials and coordinate resolutions with factories, mills, and internal teams.
  • Manage MOQ and surcharge scenarios and maintain excess material lists.
  • Track and report material KPIs, including On-Time Delivery %, On-Time Tracker %, Average Days Late, and Surcharges Paid.
  • Support Accounting with material debits, credits, and surcharge entries in NetSuite.
  • Assist Design and Development with greige bookings, seasonal material planning, and color developments.
  • Communicate material shortages, substitutions, and timeline changes with global partners.
  • Support Compliance initiatives, including PFAS tracking and labeling/regulatory updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree required (Supply Chain Management, Apparel Development, or related field preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in sourcing, production/manufacturing, or product development.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external partners.
  • Highly organized with strong documentation and follow-through skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounting experience.
  • Experience in the apparel industry or related consumer goods environment.
  • Above-average experience with Power BI, NetSuite, Centric PLM, and/or SourceDay.
  • Familiarity with material management, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
