Role: Web Architect (React.js & Next.js)
Location: Dallas, TX (onsite)

Job Description:

The Web Architect will lead the modernization and migration of the client s Consumer and Commercial Web platforms to React JS and Next JS. This role is responsible for defining the front-end architecture, optimizing performance, ensuring SEO readiness, and guiding development of production-grade web applications. The architect will work closely with backend, security, and DevOps teams to ensure a robust, scalable, and secure web ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Modernization

Own the migration strategy from legacy web platforms to React JS and Next JS.

Define component architecture, design systems integration, state management patterns, and reusable modules.

Architect server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and routing strategies using Next JS.

Technical Leadership

Partner with backend engineers to assess existing APIs, SDKs, and services and define integration strategies.

Guide the engineering team in best practices for React performance, accessibility, responsive design, and code structure.

Define caching, hydration, and data-fetching strategies for high-performance web delivery.

Security & Governance

Ensure compliance with secure data-handling practices across Consumer and Commercial platforms.

Implement policies for data separation, secure access, role-based authorization, and safe API consumption.

Performance, Quality, and SEO

Establish benchmarks and optimize for Core Web Vitals, SEO performance, and scalability.

Drive automated testing frameworks for unit, integration, and E2E tests.

Documentation & Review

Create architectural diagrams, coding standards, and migration documentation.

Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural best practices.

Qualifications

15+ years of web development experience, with at least 5 years in architecture roles.

Expert-level skills in React JS, Next JS, TypeScript, and modern frontend ecosystem tools.

Experience migrating large-scale enterprise websites to modern web frameworks.

Strong understanding of frontend security, performance optimization, and SEO.

Familiarity with micro-frontend patterns, design systems, and accessibility standards.

Experience working with backend teams on API design and integration.
