Akkodis is seeking an IT System Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Kenai, Alaska (Anchorage). The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Operational Technology (OT), networking, and server administration. This role supports critical infrastructure and requires hands-on expertise in both IT and OT environments.
Rate Range: $42/hour to $46/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $46.00 per hour

IT System Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Design, configure, and maintain IT systems and networks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Implement and manage system security protocols.
- Perform system upgrades and monitor performance.
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering.
- Experience with server, compute, storage, and networking tools.
- Hands-on expertise with VMware and Hyper-V.
- Strong Windows Server administration skills including Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, DHCP, DNS, IIS.
- Experience with SCCM and automation scripting.
- Network management experience including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, IDS/IPS.
