Job Summary

The Senior Specialist, Creative Design, Strategy, & Performance is a hands-on role combining strong performance marketing knowledge, advanced design and multimedia production expertise, and asset library management in order to:
  1. Ideate content and design approaches for lead generation by applying their performance marketing and A/B testing expertise, in combination with best practice and competitor research.
  2. Produce high-impact visual assets (images, videos, animations, web pages) from both (1) above and manager input that will drive lead generation through from search and social campaigns.
  3. Manage the library of visual assets, including interfacing with any design contractors or firms we may engage to help with asset creation.

Please note that performance marketing experience is mandatory for this role; candidates must have a proven background in creating digital assets for either e-commerce or lead generation. Candidates must also have a portfolio of design work; please share this as part of your application. Responsibilities
  • Combine performance marketing expertise with research on industry trends, best practices, competitor campaigns, and stakeholder requests to propose innovative approaches to lead gen creative.
  • Design and produce high-quality visual assets (graphics, videos, web visuals) for placement within digital ads, landing pages, social, and email.
  • Participate in A/B testing initiatives, creating design variations informed by performance insights.
  • Continuously review performance data to refine creative assets for higher engagement and conversion.
  • Coordinate internal creative requests, prioritize workloads, and manage timelines for creative output.
  • Oversee outsourced creative projects, ensuring quality and alignment with objectives.
  • Maintain an organized creative library and ensure compliance with campaign standards.

Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing principles, digital ad placements, and how creative impacts lead generation and conversion.
  • Data fluency and the ability to adapt creative content based on performance metrics and audience insights.
  • Talent and expertise in graphic design, video editing, and visual web design, exhibiting exceptional creative judgment and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or equivalent tools.
  • Experience sourcing, hiring, and directing external creative talent.
  • Proven project management skills for handling multiple priorities, external collaborators, and large quantities of assets.
  • Bonus: Experience using AI to scale high-quality content and creative, especially next-gen video generation.

Supervisory Responsibility?
This position does not have direct reports but will oversee the work of freelancers, contractors, and external creative partners as needed to meet department goals.

Work Environment
Remote setting from employee's home. Remote employees may be asked to occasionally travel to Asheville for meetings and\or training.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience
  • Portfolio Required: Applicants must include a link to an online portfolio showcasing a strong body of digital design, video, and web work. Applications without a portfolio link will not be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in creative design or multimedia production with direct experience in performance marketing for lead generation or e-commerce (required).
  • Credentials: Formal education is not required. A proven record of creative excellence, data-driven design, and campaign performance impact is the top priority.
