JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Planview Integration Engineer / Developer to serve as the technical lead for Planview platform integrations within a large-scale enterprise environment. This role requires a strong background in custom development, API integration, and third-party tooling, as well as hands-on experience with the Planview suite of products.
This is a hands-on development role not limited to configuration or administration. The right candidate will build and maintain custom integrations between Planview (Portfolios, AgilePlace, ProjectPlace, etc.) and other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and automation across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom integrations between Planview and external systems using APIs and middleware.
- Work with third-party platforms and tools to ensure seamless data exchange (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, SAP, Workday, Tableau).
- Own and support the full Planview ecosystem, including: Portfolios, AgilePlace, ProjectPlace, Planview Hub, Viz, Planview.me, and Roadmaps.
- Build and optimize automation, scripting, and data pipelines between tools.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for integration mand development issues.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and product owners to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure performance, scalability, and data integrity across systems.
- Document all integration processes, scripts, and support procedures.
- Participate in code reviews and follow secure coding best practices.
Required Experience
- 3 5+ years of professional development experience with a focus on integrations.
- Strong coding experience in one or more: Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or related scripting/development languages.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools, or custom-built data integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Planview Portfolios and at least some of the following: AgilePlace, ProjectPlace, Hub, Viz, Planview.me, Roadmaps.
- Experience working with third-party tools and automating processes across platforms.
- Strong SQL skills for reporting, queries, and data transformation.
- Ability to work collaboratively across business and IT teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with enterprise platforms like ServiceNow, SAP, Workday, or Jira.
- Familiarity with Planview reporting and dashboards.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid development environments.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and version control tools (e.g., Git).
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
