The engineering team in Guadalajara is expanding to scale and evolve search and discovery capabilities that power intelligent, relevant, and high-performance user experiences.
As an Engineering Manager - Search & Discovery, the selected candidate will lead teams responsible for building and improving large-scale search systems, driving relevance, ranking quality, and platform reliability across multiple digital marketplaces.
Key responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end delivery of search and discovery initiatives, ensuring scalable and high-quality solutions.
Drive improvements in search relevance, ranking, and system performance using data- and ML-driven approaches.
Mentor and develop an engineering team while collaborating closely with Product, Analytics, and AI stakeholders.
Key skills:
Proven experience leading engineering teams in search, machine learning, or large-scale distributed systems.
Strong expertise in retrieval and ranking models, with exposure to modern search architectures.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate in ambiguous environments.
