Director, Application Development Employment Type: Direct Hire / Permanent
Location: Onsite in Cincinnati, OH

Daily Responsibilities:
- Leading, mentoring, and managing diverse application development teams, fostering collaboration and innovation
- Overseeing delivery of enterprise applications across platforms including .NET, SharePoint, Salesforce, and RPG
- Partnering with business stakeholders and IT leadership to align technology initiatives with organizational goals
- Driving digital transformation, cloud adoption, DevOps practices, and modern development methodologies
- Establishing and tracking key performance metrics for productivity, quality, and delivery timelines
- Managing vendor relationships, evaluating third-party software, and ensuring cost-effective solutions
- Championing process automation, efficiency, and adoption of emerging technologies including AI
- Assisting with project management and business requirements gathering as needed
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a large organization (5,000+ employees preferred)
- Proven experience managing enterprise-level development teams across multiple platforms (.NET, SharePoint, Salesforce, RPG)
- Demonstrated success leading digital transformation initiatives, modernizing legacy systems, and implementing agile/DevOps practices
- Strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture, SDLC, and governance frameworks
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with budget management, vendor management, and resource planning
- Strategic thinker capable of balancing long-term vision with short-term execution
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
