Microsoft 365 Administrator (with AI & Data Governance Focus)
OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 System Administrator with strong expertise in AI automation, data governance, and platform management. This role will be instrumental in optimizing and governing our Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring compliance, data protection, and operational excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and optimize Microsoft 365: Oversee M365 environments, ensuring reliable operations, security, and performance across Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and related services.
Data governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure compliance and prevent exposure of critical or sensitive information.
AI integration and automation: Leverage AI tools within the Microsoft ecosystem to improve efficiency, automate workflows, and support business processes.
Remediation and cleanup: Lead efforts to clean up and remediate existing SharePoint sites and overall M365 configurations.
Backup and recovery: Ensure proper backup configurations and disaster recovery strategies for the Microsoft 365 environment.
Collaboration and training: Partner with business units to understand requirements, provide guidance on M365 best practices, and train users on AI and automation capabilities.
Vendor and project coordination: Collaborate with external vendors supporting the 365 remediation efforts and ensure successful project outcomes.
Governance rollout: Drive consistent implementation and adoption of Microsoft 365 across the organization with a focus on security, compliance, and usability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience as a Microsoft 365 System Administrator or similar technical role.
Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
Demonstrated experience with SharePoint administration and cleanup/remediation projects.
Familiarity with AI and automation tools within Microsoft 365 (e.g., Power Automate, Copilot, Power Platform).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to guide and train business users.
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
