Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Tableau Administrator to manage, optimize, and maintain our Tableau Server and Desktop environments. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, security, and performance of Tableau platforms while collaborating with business teams to enable effective data visualization and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Tableau Server Management: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Tableau Server environments (On-Premise/Cloud).
- User & License Management: Administer user access, roles, permissions, and license allocation.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement tuning strategies.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure data security, implement governance policies, and adhere to industry compliance standards.
- Backup & Recovery: Manage regular backups, disaster recovery plans, and system updates.
- Integration Support: Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Tableau with databases (SQL, Oracle), data warehouses, and other BI tools.
- Documentation: Maintain system documentation, best practices, and training materials for end-users.
- Collaboration: Work closely with BI developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to optimize dashboards and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Tableau Administrator (Tableau Server/Online).
- Strong knowledge of Tableau Server architecture, clustering, and load balancing.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Experience with Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, and authentication protocols (Kerberos, SAML).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tableau Certified Administrator or equivalent certifications.
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry (e.g., P&C insurance, underwriting, risk analytics).
- Knowledge of APIs, PowerShell, or Python for automation and scripting.
