The opportunity
We're looking for a Director of PM to lead a new API offering for enterprise customers spanning Adobe Firefly, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Express, and our Creative Cloud APIs - including digital imaging, video, and audio.

You will meet with customers to understand their various use cases for marketing automation and content creation, define the strategy and roadmap for new and existing APIs, and collaborate with design and engineering on enabling end-to-end, cross-API workflows for generation, editing, and assembly.

Success will be achieved by partnering with and driving alignment with different API product teams across the Digital Media organization, and settling where and how we need to fill in the gaps to address key customer use cases, incl new APIs via build, buy, or partner motion.

You will bring a proven track record to deliver compelling product strategy and user experiences, work optimally in a cross-functional and geographically distributed environment, and exercise leadership to make a profound impact through influence.
What you'll do
  • Work closely with enterprise customers to deeply understand their business and problem space, creative needs, and the potential for Generative AI and Adobe's industry leading apps to transform their workflows.
  • Spot risks, identify new opportunities, understand competitive landscapes and emerging trends, and communicate the implications - breaking insights down into pragmatic actions.
  • Set the short and long term API product strategy - define the vision, build roadmap, partner with and secure commitments from dependent teams (including/especially GTM), and define and own objectives and key results.
  • Drive global product requirements definition, product planning and prioritization with Engineering, and design explorations in partnership with our Design team and key customers.
  • Evaluate and implement new business models, including freemium- and credit-based models, API-based limits, and individual- and org-based entitlements.
  • Develop operational plans for prioritization (including resources and recruiting), group priorities, and dependency mapping.
  • Represent the business with customers, partners, executives and at industry events and communicate written and verbal updates on the roadmap and key initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of the evolving market landscape for Generative AI and API-first businesses more broadly, eg Stripe.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Validated leadership and experience in identifying and solving broad and sophisticated technical issues for customers.
  • 12+ years in platform product management, ideally in an API-first and/or developer-centric business.
  • 5+ years both building and developing a team.
  • Proven experience with platform architectures and client/service experiences.
  • A passion for working with developers, learning about new technologies, and evangelizing exciting developer tools.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working directly with tiered customer levels is a plus.
  • A GM attitude, with the ability to context switch across products, projects, and customers and own the outcome.
