Job Title: Senior Enterprise Cloud Architect
Location: Piscataway, NJ, 08854

Job Summary:
- The position is intended to provide architectural direction and leadership in the selection and implementation of digital enablement and cloud solutions in support of the needs and objectives of the Organizational Units of the CLIENT.
- The individual in this role will help drive the CLIENT cloud strategy, provide architectural oversight to XaaS implementations, lead migration of on-prem workloads to the cloud, and facilitate governance and streamlining operations of cloud computing resources.
- This position also manages the processes for standardizing technologies, the application portfolio, and the lifecycle of technologies and systems including retiring legacy systems.
- This position reports to the Director, Chief Enterprise and AI Solutions Architect, and manages 0 direct reports.
- It requires a self-starter who can work productively with minimal direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Cloud First strategy for all initiatives.
- Analyze complex legacy systems and design cloud migration strategies with full stack solution designs.
- Maintain and manage CLIENT Application Portfolio and technology standards.
- Rationalize the application portfolio.
- Govern technology evaluation and adoption.
- Automate AWS Cloud workload provisioning using AWS and open-source tools.
- Define and automate cloud security configurations aligned with policies.
- Review project requirements, evaluate XaaS solutions, and provide architectural recommendations.
- Establish and operationalize governance of cloud assets.
- Analyze user feedback and translate into design decisions.
- Identify technology overlaps/gaps to optimize cost and efficiency.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with technology vendors.
- Collaborate with IT Compliance on contract management.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Must have a Bachelor s degree (4-year) in Engineering or Computer Science
- Master s or advanced degree Preferred
Work Experience:
- 10 15 years in IT project delivery Required
- 4 7 years in architectural design Required
- 2 4 years with AWS project delivery Required
- 7 10 years in SDLC Required
- 7 10 years in software engineering Required
Licenses & Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) Required
Or AWS System Admin certification Required
Skills & Requirements:
- Advanced experience in SDLC and software engineering.
- Advanced experience evaluating/selecting XaaS solutions.
- Experience with prototypes/proof-of-concepts.
- Application/technology portfolio management.
- Cost estimation for cloud/XaaS solutions.
- Hybrid cloud architecture and legacy system migration.
- Knowledge of IT project methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Visio.
- Infrastructure knowledge (VMware, storage, backup, networking) Desirable.
- Physical infrastructure sizing Intermediate.
- Microservices and containerization Intermediate.
- TOGAF or other frameworks Intermediate.
- Technical understanding of common application and network protocols, network technology, server hardware, server software, and database technologies Intermediate.
- Budget planning and cost allocation Intermediate.
- Publishing/Association Management industry experience Beginner.
- Experience with Generative AI solutions Preferred.
