Job Details
Our client with multiple sites in MA & RI is seeking a Traffic Engineer. The Traffic Engineer will be responsible for their part in traffic design projects, including, but not limited to: field investigations; traffic and safety analyses, planning, simulations, and studies; traffic signal design; performing due diligence for local and state regulations; preparing and presenting reports and other technical documents; construction administration activities; and assisting in roadway design.
To be considered, you must have:
- Registered Professional Engineer, EIT, or PTOE or willingness / ability to obtain within 12 - 24 months
- 2+ years of Transportation engineering experience
- Experience with any of the following: MassDOT, RIDOT, ConnDOT, NYSDOT
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (ABET / EAC accredited program)
- Solid verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with any of the following is preferred: Synchro, HCS, AutoCAD, GIS Systems
- Knowledge / understanding of AASHTO, MUTCD
